Instagram is currently one of the fastest growing social media platforms with the number of users adding each day. You may be a user or a newcomer but the question is, are you really getting the best experience out of it?
“Whether the answer is yes is no you may want to try something new with Instagram,” said Issa Asad Florida-based social media expert and CEO of Q Link Wireless and Quadrant Holdings located in Dania, Florida. Here are Issa Asad’s 5 smart tips to mastering Instagram.
1. Make Good Use of Your Profile
The purpose of the profile section is to reveal to other Instagram users about you, so let it serve its purpose. Try to reveal something about yourself that is more descriptive like your occupation, a little of your interests that will sum you up. Apart from this bio area, where you fill your details, there is the website section which you can make very good use of. You can direct other users to your website or even twitter account where they may get to know more about you.
A well laid out profile usually works out for those who are interested in more Instagram followers or want to be instantly famous as they have to ensure they convince other users into tapping that follow button.
2. Borrow a Tip from the Experts
There are plenty of well-established pros on Instagram who post well laid out pictures from time to time. Do not follow close friends, family or other people only. You can try the expert accounts of people such as Jethro Mullen, who is a CNN journalist and Foster Huntington of Try road tripper just to name a few. These people may provide you with invaluable ways on how to effectively use the photo editing tools such as the wide range of filters and how to adjust the lighting.
That is not all, you can check the Instagram blog where important tips to guide you as you post your pictures are occasionally posted
3. Share! Share! Share!
Do not stick to Instagram only. Try sharing using other social media apps for non-Instagram users to have a look of what you are sharing. However, you should moderate the way you send these photos by either turning the sharing option on or off to avoid a case where you spam your followers or friend with your photos. The best app is Facebook, no surprises, in which the link is direct and there are no hustles.
4. Wise Selection of Hash Tags
When choosing a hash tag, you should always have your priorities set on what you want it to achieve. Common hashtags are very dangerous as they tend to get lost but they serve a great deal when your photo is in relation to a public trend. You can search for other hash tags that are Instagram related but just ensure as you put your hash tag relevance is attained.
5. Use the Editing Tools Well
Instagram have come up with other better tools for you to edit your photos. An array of options is available for you. This includes; the ability to make filters’ strength increase or decrease. There is also the shadow effect that is applied when some sections in your pictures are darker. Last but not least, saturation variant helps in variation of picture color strength.
Instagram recently made it easier to retract your posts and comments as there is a gray line present on every picture that has been edited.
